Welcome to Ripon Civic Society
We are dedicated to protecting and enhancing the historic buildings and environment of the cathedral city of Ripon on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and of the surrounding area.
Our aims include:
- promoting heritage protection and conservation projects in the city and area
- promoting the highest levels of architecture, planning and design
- stimulating public awareness of the best qualities of Ripon and the surrounding area
acting as a leading voice in the development and prosperity of the city and the surrounding area

The next meeting is on Thursday 1 May 2014 when Chris Topp, the country’s leading architectural ironworker, will give a talk called Adventures with Iron Work. The meeting takes place at Allhallowgate Methodist Church Hall in Ripon, and starts at 7.30pm. All are welcome - guests pay £3.00.
